Dispute Resolution

We act as counsel and arbitrators in international commercial and investment arbitrations. In addition, we represent our clients in litigation, DAB and other ADR proceedings. In all matters, we provide a clear partner commitment and strive to resolve disputes time- and cost-efficiently.

Our clients are based all over the globe. We work on cases situated in various jurisdictions and subject to a diverse range of laws. We cooperate with ‘best in class’ dispute resolution experts abroad and have the legal, linguistic and inter-cultural skills to successfully resolve complex cross-border disputes.

Clients value our experience and the exceptional quality of our work which has been consistently recognized in national and international rankings.

Our boutique structure allows us to take on matters which other firms are unwilling or unable to take on due to conflicts of interest. It also allows us to team-up, if required, with ‘best in class’ dispute resolution experts around the world.

Our speeches, publications and lectures allow us to always remain up-to-date and to keep our clients abreast of the latest trends, such as the new era of a ‘virtual reality’ in international arbitration.

HANEFELD’s Hamburg based Senior Associate Dr. Dirk Wiegandt will be speaking at the session “Old Tricks, New Tricks: Corruption in Arbitration” at the AIJA - International Association of Young Lawyers Annual Congress in Singapore on 23 August 2022.   The session will cover highly sensitive issues such as arbitral tribunals’ rights and obligations to investigate corruption and the consequences of positive findings of fraud by arbitrators. Further, the session will include a series of hypothetical scenarios inspired by real cases to consider the evolving definitions and standards of proof of corruption that have developed in recent years, including some notable decisions arising from Singapore.   #aijacongress2022#aijasingapore
