We act as counsel and arbitrators in international commercial and investment arbitrations. In addition, we represent our clients in litigation, DAB and other ADR proceedings. In all matters, we provide a clear partner commitment and strive to resolve disputes time- and cost-efficiently.
Our clients are based all over the globe. We work on cases situated in various jurisdictions and subject to a diverse range of laws. We cooperate with ‘best in class’ dispute resolution experts abroad and have the legal, linguistic and inter-cultural skills to successfully resolve complex cross-border disputes.
Clients value our experience and the exceptional quality of our work which has been consistently recognized in national and international rankings.
Our boutique structure allows us to take on matters which other firms are unwilling or unable to take on due to conflicts of interest. It also allows us to team-up, if required, with ‘best in class’ dispute resolution experts around the world.
The firm has again been endorsed for its work in the area of international arbitration: "With its clear focus on international arbitration, the firm is considered by many to be the "mother of all conflict resolution boutiques. [...] All partners are consistently praised by competitors as arbitrators and party representatives. [...]. With the counsel appointment of Jörn Hombeck, who is already recognized in the market, Hanefeld is also expanding its scope of action more strongly in the area of litigation."
Moreover, Dr. Inka Hanefeld has been named in the recent JUVE ranking amongst the most renowned party representatives in arbitration proceedings, and, together with Jan Heiner Nedden, in the category of the most renowned arbitrators.
